These 9 picturesque streets straddle through the 17th Century world heritage canal belt. They connect the four main canals: Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht between Raadhuisstraat and Leidsegracht.

The Nine Streets is the collective name given to 3 × 3 cosy shoppingstreets: Reestraat, Hartenstraat and Gasthuismolensteeg. Oude Spiegelstraat, Wolvenstraat and Berenstraat. And Runstraat and Huidenstraat and Wijde Heisteeg.

For over four centuries crafts, trade and culture have been dominant in the area. Most of the buildings date from the beginning of the 17th century and are little, monumental shopping houses. Along the canals you will find the Amsterdam famous canal houses and some of best monumental hotels of the city.

De 9 Straatjes is home to a great number of vintage stores, alternative fashion, and specialized stores. It’s also an excellent location for the a good cup of coffee, lunch or dinner.
